Rachel Hargett understands how compelling stories and crisp communications help elevate a brand. She's used those skills to help companies, public officials, candidates, and advocacy organizations refine their brand identity and deliver critical messages through paid-, earned-, and owned-media strategies.
As a producer, Rachel oversees the creative process and ensures deliverables are on track and within budget, while maintaining creative and logistical oversight.
Before joining Ascent, Rachel was the Creative Media Director for a statewide gubernatorial campaign, where she produced a record-breaking number of advertisements.
In her previous roles, Rachel worked in public relations, serving as the spokeswoman for a major statewide campaign in Texas. She was responsible for developing and executing earned-media strategies, and she also directed creative branding and digital strategy.
She also served as communications director at the Texas General Land Office, where she was responsible for media relations, issue campaigns, crisis management, digital and social media management, and facilitating TV ad campaigns for the largest state agency in Texas.
Rachel is a graduate of Abilene Christian University with a degree in Communications and Public Service. She and her husband, Josh, are huge foodies and love spending their free time cooking, trying new restaurants, and traveling.
