Justin Discigil is a Vice President at Ascent with nearly a decade of senior political and government experience both a the state and federal level.
He was most recently senior political director for Governor Glenn Youngkin’s Spirit of Virginia political action committee, where he helped lead the PAC’s communications and digital strategy during the 2023 state legislative elections.
Discigil worked on Capitol Hill for more than seven years. He served as Congressman Dan Crenshaw’s chief of staff, where he led all legislative and messaging strategy for Crenshaw’s official office and managed a team of 16 policy, communications, and district staff. Discigil also served as communications director and spokesman for Congressman Crenshaw’s successful re-election campaigns in 2020 and 2022.
Before that, Discigil served as communications director for former House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Greg Walden. He also served as press secretary for Energy and Commerce Committee Republicans.
A native of Bucks County, Pennsylvania, Discigil is a graduate of Temple University and earned his Master’s in public relations and corporate communications from Georgetown University. He now resides in Washington, D.C. with his wife, Carlin.
